Casa Arkati

Officially opened 1st August, 1993, Casa Arkati is situated in Mosta overlooking the evergreen Wied il-Ghasel valley and offers unobstructed views of the historical city of Mdina, Malta's old capital.

Casa Arkati's concept is based upon the philosophy of "Integrity, Quality and Care". This ensures that the running of our Home is carried out according to the highest possible standards of care. All aspects in the design of each residential room have been considered so that whether our residents are with us for a long period or simply a short stay, they feel comfortable, secure and happy.

Most of the residential rooms are for two persons sharing, but it is possible to take a sharing room as a single rooms. There are five levels in the building and access to each floor is either via main staircase or via one of the two hydraulic lifts linking all floors.

For your safety our home is equipped with:

  • A sensitive nurse call system
  • A en-suite bathroom with easy access bath
  • Smoke detectors & alarms
  • non-slip tiles.

At Casa Arkati, we are fully prepared to care for any special dietary requirements. All meals are carefully prepared within our extensively equipped kitchen and may be selected from a varied and healthy menu. Meals can be served in one's room if necessary.

Other personalised services we offer are:

  • Before administering the medicines, the qualified Nurses ascertains that the correct drug and dose are given to the resident. Residents at Casa Arkati may be allowed to self medicate. Our qualified nurses take care of the stocking and re-ordering of all the residents' medication.
  • An Occupational therapy plan is formulated for every resident at Casa Arkati, and through our Occupational Therapist, this plan is continuously monitored and updated. The aim of this plan will be to help residents regain or maintain some of their independence.
  • Incoming mail will be delivered to rooms and any outward correspondence can be collected regularly for posting. Should residents require assistance to write letters, fill in forms, etc. staff will be available to assist.
  • All personal items are collected washed, ironed and delivered by our trained staff. Linen is regularly changed.
  • Our hairdresser, chiropodist and beautician, visits Casa Arkati weekly. Your personal beauty professionals will always be welcome.
