Casa Arkati

Officially opened on 1st August 1993, Casa Arkati is situated in Mosta overlooking the evergreen Wied il-Għasel valley and offers unobstructed views of the historical city of Mdina. Those being cared for at Casa Arkati experience a comfortable stay, with spacious communal areas and a beautiful garden area.

Casa Arkati’s concept is based upon the philosophy of “Integrity, Quality and Care”. This ensures that the running of our Home is carried out according to the highest possible standards of care. All aspects in the design of each residential room have been considered so that whether our residents are with us for a long period or simply a short stay, they feel comfortable, secure and happy.


Admission

Upon receiving an enquiry, the potential resident and his relatives are invited to visit the home to attend an orientation visit, prior to their the admission. During this visit, new residents will be given a tour of the facility and briefed on the facilities offered at the Home.


Services offered

Accommodation and Room Facilities

Most of the residential rooms are for twin or single use. There are six levels in the building and access to each floor is either via two main staircases or via one of the three lifts linking all floors. The rooms are fully air-conditioned rooms with balconies or terraces overlooking breathtaking views; having an en-suite shower rooms with easy access; kitchenette, electrical motorised beds, nurse call system, telephone and a television connection

Services include:

  • General requests and information
  • Room service orders
  • Podology and hairdressing bookings
  • Newspaper orders
  • Flower orders
  • Reporting of faults in the rooms
  • Taxi service and accessible vehicles

Meals

Continental breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the dining room, offering a 3 course rotating menu. Special care is given to residents’ needs and dietary requirements

Personal Care

Laundry – Residents’ personal clothes are washed in-house, and included in the daily room rate.

Linen Service – Sheets, pillow cases, towels, and other personal needs are provided in house.

Chapel Services

Rosary and Holy Mass are celebrated daily in our Chapel dedicated to St. Michael. Holy Communion and Confessions are also held in the residents’ rooms. Residents may also choose to watch these services live on their television in their own bedroom.

Communication with Residents

Regular meetings are held between the management and the residents

Safety & Security

Smoking – Smoking is only permitted in a destinated area in the garden

Fire Safety – All rooms are fitted with smoke detectors and a fire evacuation plan. All corridors and public areas are equipped with fire extinguishers and fire doors.
