Mellieha Home

Officially opened on 1st March 2008 and completed in a record of 323 days, Mellieha Home operates under a Public Private Partnership scheme between the government and Caremalta. The Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieha is a community home which not only provides accommodation for older persons but also offers health services to the locals through the adjacent ‘berga’.  It also incorporates a Day Centre and provides a night shelter through a designated area in the home.

Our residents are admitted through the Elderly and Community Care Department. Residents will be invited to attend an orientation visit prior the admission to the Home.  During this visit new residents will be given a tour of the facility and briefed on the facilities offered at the Home.
