Backed by 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Carl started off his career as Night Manager at The Bugibba Holiday Complex. In 1994, he was promoted as Front Office Duty Manager at the newly built Coastline Hotel in Salina Bay. Over the years, he managed a 300 bed Aparthotel in Xemxija, and later took the responsibility of Front Office Manager at the Radisson Blu Golden Sands Resort & Spa.
Jean Pierre Abela
Facility Manager, Casa San Paolo
Supported with 26 years in the Hospitality industry, Jean-Pierre joined Vassallo Group in 2010, where he was appointed General Manager of The Bugibba Hotel, having 368 rooms, with a maximum capacity of 1000 bed nights. In 2015 he was appointed Facility Manager of the recently opened elderly home, Casa San Paolo , which started its Operations in June 2015. Jean Pierre is currently reading an Executive MBA Programme at Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK.
Facility Manager, Cospicua Home and Mellieha Home
Martin Bondin joins the team after a career span of 26 years in the Armed Forces of Malta during which time he occupied several key posts including those of Aide de Camp to the President of Malta and of Liaison Officer in the Office of the Prime Minister. As a senior officer, later on in his career, he headed the army’s Administration and Personnel Branch before moving on to head one of Malta’s Detention Centres for Irregular Immigrants. Prior to joining the forces he studied nursing at the School of Nurses at Saint Luke’s Hospital. Martin holds a degree in Computing and Information Studies.
Facility Manager Prince of Wales Residences & Rehabilitation Centre Manager, LiveLife
A Physiotherapist by profession since 1989, Robert joined the group in September 2009 as Facility Manager of Villa Messina Home in Rabat. Last year, Robert was appointed as Rehabilitation Centre Manager at LiveLife Sliema. Robert holds a Diploma in Physiotherapy and a Diploma in Management.
Facility Manager, Roseville
With over thirty five years experience in the hospitality industry, Mario passed the first three years hands-on in all of the hotel departments, followed by nine years specializing in food and beverage management. The subsequent ten years he diversified in various management roles within the hotel setting. Later Mario was entrusted with the opening of the Corinthia Marina Hotel with 5 star standards. With his ability of Supervision, training and motivation, he was also promoted as General Manager of other hotels both locally and overseas. Mario joined CareMalta in 2014 and very recently he was awarded the Best Manager Award in the Group’s Shine Awards.
Facility Manager, Villa Messina
A qualified nurse by profession, Catherine joined CareMalta in September 2012 as Assistant Facility Manager of Zejtun Home. She started her career at Karen Grech Hospital working as a theatre nurse and after a few years she took up a managerial position in a pharmaceutical firm. Later Catherine was appointed Senior Executive Manager at a Not-for-profit organisation primarily responsible for participation in European Union programs providing administrative advice to project managers and monitoring the progress of the operations.
Facility Manager, Zammit Clapp Residential Home
A nurse by profession. Tonio has been in nursing since 1985 were throughout the years he worked n Medical wards for 12 consecutive years, 3 years in a Drug Rehabilitation Unit, 12 years in Operating Theatres (Anaesthesia) and very recently he was promoted as a Nursing Officer where he was recently in charge of an Acute Emergency Admitting Ward in Mater Dei Hospital. Throughout these years he has mentored, supervised nursing students and made part of the examination board of the Faculty and Health Science in the University of Malta. He conducted lectures on various nursing topics, mainly those pertaining to Operating Theatres and the role of the Anaesthetic Nurse throughout the perioperative experience. He attended various conferences and symposia both locally and internationally where he also presented papers
on various nursing topics.
Facility Manager Zejtun Home
Paul graduated as a Staff Nurse in 2005. During his years of working experiences, he worked alongside Asylum Seekers and Forensic patients. He then started working at St Luke’s Hospital in a Medical/Haematology wards followed by a new challenging opportunity at Mount Carmel Hospital where he spent 9 years. During these years, Paul pursued his studies in B.Sc. Hons in Mental Health Nursing. Paul started working with Caremalta in November 2015.
