CareMalta CEO Natalie Briffa Farrugia has been appointed chairperson of a new business section dedicated to the ever-growing sector of care homes for the elderly, set up within the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry.

Ms Briffa Farrugia said she was happy to serve the business community within this new section of care homes for the elderly, operated by both the private sector and the Church.

“Through this new platform, we are in a position to enhance the sector and take it to the next level. I am confident that together we can bring added value to the care sector, both as operators and most importantly to our residents.”

Malta was experiencing uprecedented times within this industry, due to COVID-19, making it more important than ever to protect and safeguard the elderly. Therefore, the decision to set up the ‘Care Homes Operators Section’ within the Malta Chamber couldn’t have come at a better time.

The six-member executive committee is made up of Ms Briffa Farrugia as chairperson, Sarah Cassar as deputy chairperson (Casa Antonia), Charmaine Attard (AX Care), Marie Eleanor Farrugia (Prime Care), Angelle Falzon (Caring First Ltd) and Fleur Balzan (Age Concern Company Ltd).
