Cospicua Home
Cospicua Home was officially inaugurated on 18th December 1999. This residential home was built by the Maltese Central Government and subcontracted to CareMalta for the management and running of the operations.The spectacular features of this 18th century building were all restored and a new section was built leading to a perfect fusion between the old and the new building.
Admission
Our residents are admitted through the Elderly and Community Care Department. Residents will be invited to attend an orientation visit prior the admission to the Home. During this visit new residents will be given a tour of the facility and briefed on the facilities offered at the Home.

Accomodation
Cospicua Home is spread over three storeys. There are 78 rooms divided into single, double, triple and four bedded rooms capable of accommodating 136 residents. All rooms are air-conditioned, have a TV connection, telephone set and a nurse call for each resident. There is also a nurse call via a pull chord system in the shower room. The en-suite shower room and the kitchenette are to be shared in case of sharing residents. Many of the rooms enjoy exceptional sea views of the Cottonera and Valletta Harbour. A Day Centre is also incorporated within the entrance of this Home and is available to residents and non-residents alike.

- Taxi service and accessible vehicles
Meals
Breakfast , Lunch and dinner is served in the dining room situated in the internal yard. Room service is available to those who are unable to leave their rooms.
Personal Care
Laundry – Residents’ personal clothes are washed in-house free of charge.
Linen/Towel Services – Linen such as sheets, pillow cases, and blankets provided.
Chapel Services
Rosary and Holy Mass are celebrated on a daily basis in our Home Chapel dedicated to St. Joseph.
Communication with Residents
Cospicua Home has an internal procedure for dealing with any complaints or suggestions forwarded by residents. Residents are also invited to join the Home’s Residents’ Association
Safety & Security
Smoking is strictly forbidden in the rooms and all public areas. Excessive consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden within the facility. All rooms are fitted with a fire alarm system. Residents are to follow the staff’s instructions regarding fire alarms and fire drills.
