CareMalta celebrates two special birthdays, Mr Anthony Bilocca who turned 104 and Mrs Frances Grima who turned 102.   They tell us a bit about their life during a celebration held at Zejtun home where Hon Dr Justyne Caruana and Mrs Vassallo attended.

Mr Bilocca who was born on 26/11/1912 has been a resident for the past 12 years.  He speaks about his life which was fulfilled with a job he loved and a loving family of 3 children and 8 grandchildren.  His favourite pastime is football and his favourite team locally is Floriana, being his hometown and Manchester United as an English team.  When asked about the secret to living a long life he primarily thanks the Lord Almighty and also mentions eating well and not drinking alcohol.

Mrs Grima, also a CareMalta resident for the past 8 years speaks about leading a very active life. Born on 23/11/1914 Frances is a mother of 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and another one on the way.  Besides raising her children and working as a housewife, she dedicated 30 years of her life as a volunteer to the St John Ambulance as a staff officer while also giving first aid lectures.  She was also honoured by the Queen of England as Dame Francis Grima of the order of St. John of Jerusalem.  She admits that 24 hours were never enough since she led such a busy life and always wished to get more things done in one day.

We wish both residents good health, joy and serenity.
