Zejtun Home
Officially opened on the 13th March 1994, Zejtun Home was the first Public Private Partnership between the Government of Malta and CareMalta Group. The home is built on three levels, with a lovely central courtyard, a private garden and an in-house chapel. It has a large dining room on each floor level and also links to the adjacent Day Centre. The Home has a dependency level area where residents are catered with a room service. Activity rooms, lounges and TV rooms are situated on each floor level.
Admission
Our residents are admitted through the Elderly and Community Care Department. Residents will be invited to attend an orientation visit prior the admission to the Home. During this visit new residents will be given a tour of the facility and briefed on the facilities offered at the Home
Services offered
Accomodation
Zejtun Home is a 204-bedded residential home. All rooms are air-conditioned, have a TV connection, telephone set and a nurse call for each resident. There is also a nurse call via a pull chord system in the shower room. The en-suite shower room and the kitchenette are to be shared in case of sharing residents. Most rooms have a balcony and enjoy country and sea views.

- Room service orders
- Podology and hairdressing bookings
- Newspaper orders
- Flower orders
- Reporting of faults in the rooms
- Taxi service and accessible vehicles
Meals
Meals are served in the dining rooms for both lunch and dinner. Room service is provided for those unable to go to the dining room due to illness or any other certified ailment.
Personal Care
Laundry – Laundry Service operates free of charge.
Linen/Towel Services – Linen such as sheets, pillow cases and blankets are provided in house.
Chapel Services
Mass is celebrated in the Home’s chapel everyday .There is room service Holy Communion for those residents who cannot attend Mass in the Chapel.
Communication with Residents
Zejtun Home has an internal procedure for dealing with any complaints or suggestions forwarded by residents. Residents are also invited to join the Home’s Residents’ Association
Safety & Security
There is only one main entrance and exit to Zejtun Home. This door is controlled by the reception area and is always locked. Common areas are also CCTV controlled for health and safety purposes.
Smoking is strictly forbidden in the rooms and all public areas in line with national legislation. Excessive consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden within the facility.
Fire Safety
All rooms are fitted with a fire alarm system. Residents are to follow the staff’s instructions regarding fire alarms and fire drills.
