Officially opened in 2010, Roseville is a unique place to live in. It is one of Malta’s few Art Nouveau villas. This unique architectural gem, with floral sculpted windows surrounded by painted motifs, recalls the Art Nouveau houses found in places such as Brussels, Antwerp and across Central Europe. The home enjoys beautiful gardens adjacent to San Anton Palace. It is the perfect place for senior citizens to retire; having all the care and attention they need.
Upon receiving an enquiry, the potential resident and his relatives are invited to visit the home to attend an orientation visit, prior to their admission. During this visit, new residents will be given a tour of the facility and briefed on the facilities offered at the Home.
There are 4 levels in the building. The rooms are fully air-conditioned, having a TV connection with free cable, telephone set and a nurse call for each resident. There is also a nurse call via a pull chord system in the shower room. The en-suite shower room and the kitchenette are to be shared in case of sharing residents.
Services include:
A daily breakfast service is offered in the room whilst lunch and dinner are served in the main dining room.
Laundry – Residents’ personal clothes are washed in-house.
Linen/Towel Services – Linen such as sheets, pillow cases, blankets and towels are provided
Rosary and Holy Mass are celebrated on a daily basis in our Home Chapel dedicated to St. George Preca There is daily room service Holy Communion for those residents who are not able to attend Mass in the Chapel. A spiritual activities programme is drawn up before an important religious event and is displayed on the notice board next to the chapel.
Regular meetings are held between the management and the residents
Smoking is only permitted in our verandas and in our Gardens. All rooms are fitted with smoke detectors. The garage door is always locked and controlled by CCTV cameras. Common areas are also CCTV controlled for health and safety purposes.
Facility Manager, Roseville
A certified Phlebotomist, Nicolette joined CareMalta in 1997 and over the years she has moved up the ranks and worked in all of CareMalta’s homes. Nicolette started her career as a carer at Casa Arkati and she quickly became one of the first group of Senior Carers. Continuing to grow in her career, Nicolette was appointed first-ever Care Ambassador, focusing on training new recruits in CareMalta’s homes. A couple of years later, she was once again entrusted with an unprecedented role – that of Lead Carer at Roseville during the home’s first months of operation. Upon completion of her Diploma in Pragmatic Leadership for Managers, Nicolette was appointed Assistant Facility Manager. After the major refurbishment at Villa Messina, she joined the Villa Messina team and had been appointed Facility Manager.
In May 2022 Nicolette was entrusted with the role of Home Manager at Casa Apap Bologna, one of HILA’s homes, another branch of CareMalta’s Group and in 2023 she was appointed as Facility Manager at Roseville.

Residents can keep their family doctor to visit them at our home. If this is not possible, the home will provide the resident with a family doctor to follow him/ her up during the stay.
24 hr nursing care, medical service, naso-gastric tubes, subcutaneous drip, optional service phlebotomist, and extra physiotherapy sessions are available.
Medicines can be provided by the residents’ relatives. The home also offers to take care of the Pharmacy of your choice ( POYC) scheme in which medicines are dispensed by the pharmacist.

Every resident is responsible for his/her personal belongings.The home is not responsible for any valuable items pertaining to the residents which are left in the rooms.
Various activities are organised throughout the year to stimulate both body and mind, and according to season. Residents are encouraged to attend, but we do respect the wishes of those who express a wish not to participation. Outings are organized on a fortnightly basis. In such outings, residents are accompanied by the Active Ageing Facilitator and Care Assistants.. Transport for wheelchair users is provided. Outings are not included in the daily rate and are billed separately at the end of the month.
Private functions can be organized at Roseville to celebrate a special occasion. The Multi-purpose room or the facility’s well-kept gardens are the ideal venues for such an occasion.
