Josette gained 24 years experience in the Hospitality Industry mainly in London and Cambridge, working for various Companies such as Intercontinental Hotels Group, Village Urban Hotels and Hotel Du Vin.
She has also managed various Hotels at Deputy General Manager and General Manager level as well as being part of two large Hotel pre openings in London.
Josette joined Caremalta in November 2016.
Facility Manager, Villa Messina
A Physiotherapist by profession since 1989, Robert joined the group in September 2009 as Facility Manager of Villa Messina Home in Rabat. Last year, Robert was appointed as Rehabilitation Centre Manager at LiveLife Sliema. Robert holds a Diploma in Physiotherapy and a Diploma in Management.
In 2017, Robert was once again appointed as Villa Messina Facility Manager after 4 years in the Physical Rehabilitation field.
Facility Manager, Roseville
Following an extensive professional career in the public service, Roslynn joined CareMalta as a Facility Manager in 2019,. She has held headship positions in the Ministry of Education and Employment, the Foundation for Social Welfare Services ( the National Social Welfare Agency) and also managed a residential home for adolescents experiencing social and emotional difficulties.
Roslynn is a warranted social worker holding a first degree in Social Work, and has persued further her post graduate studies in Human Resources Management & Training, and in Social Policy. She currently sits on the executive committee of the Maltese Association for Social Workers, and on the Management Board of Fondazzjoni Sebh, which is an NGO running several residential homes for children and a shelter for victims of domestic violence.
Facility Manager, Casa San Paolo
Alain has a Bachelor degree in Tourism Management, obtained in Brussels in 1995. He worked in various positions throughout the tourism, airline & hospitality industry over the past 23 years in San Francisco, Brussels, Frankfurt, Budapest, Zurich, Lugano & Locarno. After having worked for various 4* Superior and 5* Star hotels in Switzerland, it took him back to his hometown in East Belgium where he managed a seminar and event hotel with the biggest achievement of having it certified to the highest quality level, awarded by the European Institute of Tourism. Being married to a Maltese, it took him finally to Malta where in 2018 he joined CareMalta in order to ensure the highest possible level of quality with a more social aspect.
Services Manager, Mellieha Home
Amanda Tonna previously worked in 4 and 5 star hotels for 15 years, where she acquired supervision experience in Food and Beverage, Front Office and Housekeeping. Amanda Joined CareMalta in 2008 as a Receptionist during the opening of Dar Il-Madonna Tal-Mellieha. After 6 months she was appointed as the first Facility Co coordinator within the company assisting the Facility Manager in the daily operation and in charge of the Front office and Administration of the Home. Eventually she was promoted to Services Manager with CareMalta.
Facility Manager, Cospicua Home
Maria, a nurse by profession, graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) Nursing Studies in 2004. Her work experience includes 9 years at the cardiac intensive care unit in Mater Dei Hospital and also at the health centres. Later on, she was appointed as a licensing officer within the Superintendence of Public Health, responsible for inspecting Elderly Care Homes across Malta and Gozo. Maria joined CareMalta as a facility manager in 2018. She is currently reading for a Master of Arts in Bioethics at the University of Malta.
Facility Manager, Zammit Clapp Residential Home
Backed by 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Carl started off his career as Night Manager at The Bugibba Holiday Complex. In 1994, he was promoted as Front Office Duty Manager at the newly built Coastline Hotel in Salina Bay. Over the years, he managed a 300 bed Aparthotel in Xemxija, and later took the responsibility of Front Office Manager at the Radisson Blu Golden Sands Resort & Spa.
Facility Manager, Zejtun Home
Paul graduated as a Staff Nurse in 2005. During his years of working experiences, he worked alongside Asylum Seekers and Forensic patients. He then started working at St Luke’s Hospital in a Medical/Haematology wards followed by a new challenging opportunity at Mount Carmel Hospital where he spent 9 years. During these years, Paul pursued his studies in B.Sc. Hons in Mental Health Nursing. Paul started working with Caremalta in November 2015.
Facility Manager, Casa Marija
In April 2019, Manuel was appointed as Facility Manager of Casa Marija as well as achieving a Master of Science in Management with Human Resources, with Global College Malta offered by Chester University. Manuel is a former teacher and a Head of School within the public sector. He received his B Educ. (Hons) in Technical Subjects and a further Post Graduate Diploma in Education Administration and Management from the University of Malta. In 2015, Manuel was entrusted with another new project to create an educational programme which responds to the needs of students who exhibit challenging behaviour.Additionally, he formed part of the steering committee that introduced the Achieve Programme in Malta, offered by the Prince’s Trust International and sponsored by HSBC Malta.
