Officially opened on 1st March 2008 and completed in a record of 323 days, Mellieha Home operates under a Public Private Partnership scheme between the government and Caremalta. The Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieha is a community home which not only provides accommodation for older persons but also offers health services to the locals through the adjacent ‘berga’. It also incorporates a Day Centre and provides a night shelter through a designated area in the home.
